FESTIVAL DE JAZZ Y OTRAS MÚSICAS EN QUILMES
Organizado por el grupo Jazz del Sur este festival combina cuestiones de la música popular, de raiz folklórica y latinoamericana con músicas del jazz, y su concepto de libertad e improvisación como concepto.
Tendrpa diversas propuestas durante mayo y parte de junio.
Este viernes 19 desde las 18,30 en la Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, habrá una clínica a cargo de Carlos Aguirre, el pianista y compositor de Paraná, quien estará hablando en esta clase abierta sobre el nuevo folklore.
Luego desde las 21 estará el Ensamble de Música Popular Contemporanea “Purria Minga” que tendrá como invitado especial a Carlos Aguirre. El ensamble está integrado por Valentín Reiners en guitarra, Javier Stromann en bandoneón, Mauro Aranda en saxo tenor, Leonel Cejas en bajo, Facundo Barreyra en batería e Ignacio Hurban en piano, composición y arreglos, a lo que se sumará Carlos Aguirre con voz, acordeón y piano.
A partir de las 22 la velada estará cerrada por el mismo Carlos Aguirre en piano, guitarra, voz y composición, junto a músicos invitados mostrando sus composiciones, de sus dos discos editados y de las composiciones más recientes que fueron grabadas en vivo en La Trastienda junto al santafesino Jorge Fandermole.
En todos los casos la entrada es libre y gratuita y se reciben libros, útiles y juguetes para la escuela de frontera Ojo de Agua en La Quiaca en la frontera argentino-boliviana.
FESTIVAL DE MONTE GRANDE
Otro festival más. Este se realiza este viernes 19 en el 4to piso de la Municipalidad de Monte Grande (Santamarina 455 – Monte Grande) desde las 19 con una charla a cargo de Jorge Muchnik con ejemplos grabados.
Y luego estarán presentándose D’auria-Camacho Trio y Duo Marquez-Gilardi.
Para este ciclo todavía queda otra fecha el domingo 21 con el trompetista Fats Fernandez y una charla a cargo de Nano Herrera sobre la evolución del Jazz, también el cuarto piso de la municipalidad.
Y el cierre será el sabado 27 con los Swing Timers y Super Jazz.
LA MILONGA DEL JAZZ
Para los que gusten de ir a “sacudir el esqueleto” con música de jazz estará la Sotavento Jazz Band este viernes 19 desde las 21 en Asociación Entrerriana (Guemes 3941 – Capital federal). La entrada a 8 pesos.
CAVALLI TRIO
El saxofonista tenor Ricardo Cavalli tiene tres planes en trío con músicos diferentes con los que está tocando distintos repertorios compuestos especialmente para cada combo, con los que grabará oportunamente.
En este caso se presentará con la formación de Pepi Taveira en batería, Mariano Otero en contrabajo y Ricardo Cavalli en saxo, tres individualidades muy poderosas cada cuál lider de su propio proyecto en lo que promete que será un gran encuentro.
Tendrá dos fechas en mayo, los viernes 19 y 26 desde las 22 en Thelonious (Salguero 1884 – Capital Federal). Las entradas a 12 pesos.
LA TURCA
Esta banda de soul sigue presentando su disco “Turcaholic”, estarán este viernes 19 en Liberarte (Corrientes 1555 – Capital federal), y el viernes 26 se mudan a zona norte para ir a City Bar (Ruta 8 y Puente Guido – Pilar).

El guitarrista aterriza en Argentina y como pocos realiza una mini gira que además de la Capital “donde Dios atiende su oficina” además se lanza al interior, un gesto más que gratificante y que estaría bueno que se repitiera con el resto de las figuras internacionales que llegan por estos pagos, para darle más posibilidades de acceso a los que viven lejos del ombligo del pais.
El guitarrista que ha tocado con Miles Davis, Billy Cobham, Jaco Pastorius, John Scofield y Michael Brecker entre otros, pisará este viernes 19 el Casino Magic en Neuquen.
Luego sabado 20 y domingo 21 estará en La Trastienda (Balcarce 460 – Capital Federal).
